Lead Test Results

A public water system is considered to be compliance with standards  if 90 percent of test results show lead levels below the action level of 15 parts per billion. In all cases, homeowners where the sample was collected are notified of the results and if the sample is above the action level. Connecticut Water works with the homeowner to identify the source of the lead in the their homes plumbing or fixtures and recommend ways to address the problem. The easiest way to avoid issues with lead in drinking water is to run the cold water tap until the water gets colder, this effectively flushes out the water that has been in contact with the home’s plumbing.

Lead results by water system. If you are not sure which system serves your home please call us at 1-800-287-1643.
