To support you during the moments that matter most, we offer a wide range of benefits, programs and resources that are competitive, diverse and flexible to meet your needs. It’s one of the most important things we do as a company, and part of our commitment to make Maine Water a great place to work.
This page is designed to help you understand the comprehensive benefits offered to Maine Water employees.
These are our typical benefits offered to full-time employees. Please note: this information is subject to change.
Medical: Maine Water has three medical plan options through our healthcare vendor. We offer a traditional copay/coinsurance plan and two High Deductible Health Plans that qualify for a Health Savings Account (HSA).
Dental: Dental coverage is an important part of your benefits package and regular dental care is key to your overall health. Our dental insurance is available nationwide and allows you the freedom to visit any licensed dentist or specialist of your choice.
Vision: The benefits include coverage for periodic eye exams, eyeglass lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
Wellness Program: Focusing on wellness is an investment in your health, which can save you money in the long run. When you’re in good health and feel well, you can be your best at home and at work. Our wellness program includes basic health screening, challenges, and education.
Taking care of your mental health can help in many ways. It can help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and enhance focus. To help with this, all employees have access to a guided meditation application. This is a great online tool that offers many features, including live mindfulness sessions, regularly updated content on stress management, and more.
Disability, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) and life insurance provide important financial protection.
Disability Insurance Programs: Disability benefits replace a portion of your income to help you continue to pay your everyday expenses (such as mortgage/rent, utilities, childcare, or groceries) and meet your financial obligations. We provide short term and long term disability insurance at no cost to employees.
Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance: Group term life insurance will provide a life benefit to the beneficiaries of a covered individual who dies during the defined covered period. At Maine Water, we provide Basic Life and AD&D benefits at no cost to employees.
Optional Additional Life Insurance: Employees may supplement their group life insurance benefits by purchasing additional coverage paid through bi-weekly payroll deductions.
Maine Water believes that the 401(k) plan is one of the best ways for you to save for retirement. That’s why, to make it as easy as possible for employees to start saving, they’re automatically enrolled in the plan starting at a pre-set contribution level. After satisfying the eligibility period, the company will also contribute a set percentage of the employee’s pay to the plan. The company contribution is not dependent on the employee contribution.
Maine Water recognizes that our employees’ career development is a vital element of our success as a company and in our strategy to remain the industry leader. The Company offers tuition reimbursement for pre-approved courses and degree programs. Qualified expenses include tuition, books and mandatory fees, such as registration and student fees.
In addition, each department has a set budget for additional training opportunities for employees. These trainings include external opportunities, such as conferences, webinars, and license/certification courses.
We offer several voluntary benefits that provide services and discounts to you and your family. These benefits include:
