H2O COVID-19 Hardship Assistance Program

Maine Water is now offering financial assistance on water bills to customers facing COVID-19-related hardship through a new program called H2O Customer Assistance.

While we have always been ready to work with customers experiencing financial difficulties by setting up deferred payment arrangements, this new program provides qualifying residential customers on approved payment arrangements partial water bill forgiveness.

The program is aimed at assisting those most in need during this difficult economic period so they may continue to access safe, reliable water for drinking and personal hygiene needs.

To further assist customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, beginning on July 1, 2020, and continuing for the duration of the Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) moratorium on disconnection activities, Maine Water is waiving late fees on any outstanding account balance paid within 90 days of the bill’s original due date, allowing additional time for payment without penalty.
