Maine Water Caps 2022 by Supporting the Hungry and Children in Need

Maine Water and its employees are pleased to again provide for the hungry and children in need in the communities the company serves across the state of Maine. The support comes in the form of food pantry donations and warm winter coats for children.

Justin Edelstein Named Controller of Maine Water Company

Maine Water Company today announced that Justin Edelstein has been hired as the company’s controller to join the finance and accounting team.  He will succeed Greg Leighton, the company’s current controller, who has announced he plans to retire in April of 2023 after 35 years of service.

Maine Water Company Volunteers Assist in Trail Building at Goose River Trail

Maine Water’s partnership with the Coastal Mountain Land Trust continues to benefit the environment, community and company. A half-dozen Maine Water employees recently volunteered their time to work on building the Goose River trail in Camden under the guidance of a CMLT Instructor.

Financial Assistance Available for Income-Eligible Water and Sewer Customers

Maine Water Company is encouraging qualifying customers to apply for financial assistance through a Federal-Funded Program being administered by the Maine State Housing Authority (Maine Housing).

Maine Water Announces 2022 Scholarship Recipients

As college students across the state prepare to begin the school year in a couple weeks, Maine Water is pleased to congratulate the recipients of its 2022 scholarship program.  As part of Maine Water’s commitment to the local communities served, scholarships were awarded to 15 students in 15 of the towns served by Maine Water. Students who will be attending two or four year college programs in the fall were selected through their high school guidance office and awarded a grant of $500 each.

Maine Water Celebrates the Commissioning of the Saco River Drinking Water Resource Center

Today Maine Water Company celebrated the commissioning of its new $60 million Saco River Drinking Water Resource Center, which began operation in June, providing up to 12 million gallons of high-quality drinking water a day to the Saco Bay communities.
